My hometown is Jingdezhen, which is the hometown of porcelain in China. Therefore, I began to learn knowledge about blue and white porcelain when I was a child. It can be said that porcelain is the most important part of my life and is one of my favorite artistic media.
I am an art student, and I am mainly interested in fine art and ceramics.
I love to express my inner thoughts through art, and I like to use multiple media to achieve a visual effect.
I am also very interested in the expression of language art, so I began to love Chinese debate. From the beginning as a novice to the current debate club president, I have learned a lot of thinking strategies. I can say that debating is my favorite thing besides making visual art.
In 2025, I received offers from UAL Central Saint Martins, Parsons College of Design, SAIC, and the University of Edinburgh.
I decided to study at UAL Central Saint Martins for the ceramics design BA program. I will continue my passionate art journey during my college life.

The purpose of this work is to express myself. Inspired by Freud's theory, the composition of the work is a uterus, which shows I’m proud of my gender. The left side is the past me, also the ‘ID’. In the middle is the present me, the ‘self’, and closing eyes is to show that I want to feel the world more than to see it. And the right side is the future me, the ‘superego’. It represents a shift from my past to my future.The picture doesn’t use prominent value, and has always in an average value, which reflect my personality is a relatively mild, there is no prominent feeling of me.I want express myself through this painting to the audience.

2007-2017
Childhood
From a very young age, I began to understand the creative styles of different artists. When I was in G4, my father and I were invited to attend the Xu Zhimo Poetry Festival at King's College, Cambridge, England, where I not only learned about the ideas and styles of poetry creation of poets from different countries but also met many outstanding artists. I also went to Cambridge again in the following summer holidays.

I've been interested in different art forms since G9, and I also care about the issues that are happening in society. So I began to think that I could organize an exhibition to bring together the works of some artists to present the same theme. And so, I'm with the UK Foundation for the Protection of a Dying World, and the Organizing Committee of the Cambridge Xu Zhimo Poetry and Art Festival co-hosted an online exhibition (because it was during the pandemic). As the main curator, I gathered students of the same grade from different schools and tried to present the theme of "Environmental Protection and the Future" from the perspective of students. In this experience, I learned how to plan an exhibition and how to communicate with different artists to show the same theme.
2017-2022
Art Collaboration

In the tenth grade, the theme of my Personal Project was my favorite blue and white porcelain. To know more about this theme, I asked my father, who is an associate professor at Jingdezhen Ceramic University, specializing in blue and white painting. But he did not teach me any techniques for blue and white painting, because he said he did not want to limit my imagination and my enthusiasm for self-discovery of painting techniques. So he only taught me the characteristics of blue and white porcelain and the characteristics of various pigments. However, it has been very useful for me, and I have also discovered many special combinations of blue and white porcelain pigments and fusions in the process of creation. And the special connection between blue and white porcelain and temperature. At last, after the PP exhibition, I donate this porcelain plate to my school.

Personal Project


I started to explore more media during summer break. There are many different media of blue and white porcelain, thus I wanted to study more about them and use them in my artwork.
In the end, I finished a group of porcelain(6 pieces) with
high-level porcelain painting technique for my DP Art graduate exhibition.

At the end of my high school, we had set up an exhibition as the outcomes of our IBDP art course.
I had shown over 12+ mediums in my artworks. The expression of my art is not only shown on paper or canvas; it could have wider explorations. For example: porcelain, silk, installation art, 3D printing projects...

2018-2022
At BIBS
I started to participate in debate activities since G6, and mainly participated in debate competitions during the time of G8-11. Part of the reason I like debating is because it practices my critical thinking skills. I get to see and think about more things that I might not normally pay special attention to. The other part is to practice my leadership and communication skills. I can organize and communicate with my teammates, and I can also express what I want to express to strangers. These abilities can not only be reflected in my results in the debate contest, but also in other aspects of my daily life.
When I first came to BCIS, I didn't know anyone, but I got to know a lot of seniors who are about to graduate from BCIS through the same interest in debating. In the process of participating in the competition with seniors, I also learned a lot of things, such as how to be a team leader like my seniors and how to coordinate time with the organizers.
After getting familiar with the life of BCIS, I organized a debate team in my grade as a captain and participated in the competition together with other students in the same grade who were equally interested. It was here that I demonstrated my leadership as a captain.

With the growth of my grade, I no longer had time to play competitions by myself, so I decided to become the president of BCIS Chinese Debating Club to teach and organize other lower-grade children who were interested in debating to participate in competitions and show their language ability.
